Servant Year is an AmeriCorps social service program of the Episcopal Diocese of PA and the Lutheran Synod of Southeastern PA of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Supported by the Episcopal Diocese of Philadelphia, Servant Year carries out its mission under the guidance of an advisory board made up of local Episcopal and Lutheran clergy and professionals. Our board is made up of Jo Anne Jones, Esq.,
and the Reverends Judith Beck, James Proud, Esq., Richard Stewart, Bruce Todd, Nancy Dilliplane and Board Chairman Rev. Robert Tate. Bishop Edward Lee, (retired Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Western
Michigan) provides Servant Year with program oversight.

Our director, Matt Myers, has been at the helm of Servant Year since 2004. Since taking over, he's expanded the choice of partner organizations for interns, as well as ensuring the applicants selected for intership are prepared for their newfound responsibilites. In addition to tending to interns' professional life, Matt makes their life a little easier by planning retreats, activities, and opportunities to become closer with one another and God. He is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville and the Servant Year internship program. Please contact him with any inquiries at:

The Reverend James Proud Esq. is Servant Year's chaplain and spiritual advisor.

But above all, Servant Year is defined by the interns who live in the residence and are placed in our partner organizations.
